Had my first couple of pints of mild from the polypins through the beer engine. Hooked up the unprimed polypin and pulled a pint. The northern sparkler gave it a nice creamy head but the beer itself was flat. So I switched to the primed pin. This time the beer seemed just right. Not fizzy but with some life. This was the case even though I'd let out CO2 shortly after priming and the pin was not at all stiff. I think I shall prime all my unprimed polypins now. I shall follow Dennis's method and move them to the cold garage once they start swelling.
