Sterilising question

Is it OK to sterilise my PET DJ with Milton solution? Or does it have to be something specific to wine making?

Milton's fine, supermarket own brands do the same job for half the price, but only leave it in contact for the 20-30 minutes it says and then rinse very well. I find it clings and I only use it on glassware.

 

My main steraliser is pub beer line cleaner, but when I run out I use domestic bleach.

Whereas SM own brand baby steriliser is far cheaper than Milton, thin bleach is far cheaper than any baby steriliser and they all use the same active ingredient - sodium hypochlorite.

But watch out for any additional unwanted additional ingredients - which can change from time to time - as OH has just returned with 5l of Lidl bleach that now contains unidentified additional extra stuff so I won't be using that anymore.
