Temp sensor position

I use an ordinary kitchen sponge with a slot cut ¾ of the way down it to hold the temperature probe.

My FV (compliments of Wilco) has a handle that seems designed to trap a kitchen sponge and hold the probe up against the FV below the level of the wort.

I pulled a jiffy bag in half and cut in half again. Taped all four bits together. Taped washing up sponge with hole pushed through for probe to jiffy bag. Used sticky back velcro around edges and on fermenter.
Works a treat and no need to reach apply tape each time.

Hi!
On my first brew I used a bungee cord because it was there! Couldn't be a*sed to go looking for tape

I still use a bungee cord as there's no fussing with tape every time and no glue sticking to the fv.
