good evening everyone I was choosing my first cider brew but i have come across a problem, the problem is i do not have any way of keeping my brew at the specified temperature as i am not allowed to brew in my mums house and there is no power in the shed and it is only 16c in there PLEASE HELP :cheers: if its any help the brew i am wanting to try is a YOUNGS cider :cheers: again :wha:
 
Someone's going to tell me I'm talking out of my hat here (and I'm starting to learn that aleman is our resident yeast expert), but I think yeast generates a certain amount of its own heat in the early stages of fermentation. If you could start your fermentation off in the low 20s centigrade and then insulate your fermenter well (including the base), you might get away with it.

FAILING THAT, SNEAK IT INTO THE HOUSE UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS!
