I added a package of yeast to what appears to be 20l-22l of press apple cider.
The package is for 23l of cider.

How much if at all will this effect the final taste if at all?

I don't particularily want to add any store bought juice or press more apples.

I would have thought that it makes little difference but may speed up the start of the fermentation. The 'fast' wines I have done have a larger packet of yeast. It's all perfectly drinkable :drink:

I don't think this small difference will affect the taste. The taste will be affected mainly by the yeast strain and temperature at which it ferments... too high a temp and it will ferment too fast which could cause bad aromas/tastes.. also too high a temp and it will kill the yeast... then theres a risk of oxidisation. Hope this helps.
