I've extracted yeast cultures from Weston's Old Rosie cider in the past but sadly, this is now pasteurised.
I can of course just go and buy cider yeast but that's all it will be - yeast - and I currently have a big enough stock of cider on hand that I can spare the time to go for MLF - which needs the right bacteria in addition to a yeast culture.
Does anybody know of a widely available unpasteurised cider that has a sediment?
If not, I've already ordered 20 plastic test tubes from Amazon for the princely sum of ã1.98 and I'm going to have to go begging at my local cider house.
