Hi was thinking of brewing this evening but i would like to make a 40l batch would a packet of us05 be able to ferment completely
Again looking at a 4-5 % APA
I have only one packet of 05 left but would like to brew a bigger batch than 20 odd litres

It would.

Not advisible however, underpitching can cause subtle problems, including a longer lag time leading to a greater risk of infection. Wait and get another packet. Or chuck a Nottingham in as well

Hi realise that it may cause lag time would i be safe with 35ish litres even a starter from first runings may get things going before pitching ?
