Hi. Complete newbie to this brewing game.

I bottled my cider made from a kit today (Muntons Premium Gold Autumn Blush) and decided to take a cheeky sip... Turns out it's very bitter and not anywhere near as sweet as it smells.

Is this normal? I know it will improve the longer I leave it in the bottles but this has got me thinking I did something wrong...

I have never tried that kit but in my experience at around the 4 week mark it gets alot better. On week three of my first kit I decided the following weekend what I was home I would throw it and fill the Keg with Cider. On the fourth week I had the keg over the sink and decided to have one last taste and that one week changed my mind so much that instead of throwing it away I decided to keep it AND get another one on the go.

Moral of the story, give it a month then retaste it

+1 on that. Patience is something newbies and children lack. If I could bottle it and sell it on ebay i would be a very rich man.
