Tried to have a bash at this yesterday:

I thought the brew day went swimmingly, no hic-ups etc but my OG came in at 1.054 rather than 1.066 so will be a fair bit weaker than expected. No idea what's happened there as nothing's changed with my process. Dud batch of grain perhaps?

Welcome to my world, my last 5 or so brews have came in under target, bloody frustrating! The only thing I can think of which is causing my problem is the crush of the grain.

Did you crush it yourself or buy crushed? If the latter, where from?

Bought crushed from BrewUK, I've always used them and never had problems in the past and when I spoke to them they said they hadn't changed their crush so it's very confusing. I've been compensating with DME but I'm going to start adding an extra 500g of base malt until I resolve the problem.
