Going to show my age here, my first car was a 1957 Renault Dauphine. The family had to get out and walk if we went up a steep hill.

My cousin's first car was a Viva he customised, got some bits off a Viva GT in the scrapyard (inc bonnet with scoops), fitted sidepipes, jacked it up with Range Rover springs and painted it gold underneath. Was a bit of a beast but came to an untimely end: it was jacked up so much that when he did an emergency stop, physics took over and compressed the half-shaft so much that it broke and rolled out from underneath the car, much to the hilarity of everyone looking on![]()
