Are there particular brands of cool box that work best for a mash tun?

I've seen reasonably priced Coleman one that holds just over 40 litres and an Igloo box that holds 45 litres. The Coleman one is about a tenner cheaper but are they as good at maintaining the heat?

40-45L will be about the right size for me. I'm only planning on doing 5 gallon batches so it sounds like I'll have the headroom I need. I'd have trouble storing anything bigger.

Absolutely get a Coleman Xtreme cooler.

Hole already done for you and NO temp loss over 90 mins.

I got my 40 litre cool box (new) delivered for about £45 and converted it in 2 mins as I just took the tap out and put a brass nipple/ball valve on it.

Piece of cake.

Hi mate. Do you have a link to where you got this one from? As there's so many different Coleman ones I want to be sure I find the one you are talking about. Cheers

Just had a look at that auction and I don't think it's a Coleman Xtreme cooler.

I'd hang off for the right one.

I went with that Coleman Xtreme one in the end. Thanks for the advice.

Looking forward to putting all this together.

I was looking at heses to upgrade my BIAB system.

Although the cheapest i can find them is £60 delivered to the UK

i have found a 50Qt wheeled one for a bit cheaper and was wondering if anyone has used this, as the tap seems to be at the back by the wheels and i was wondering if this is a problem?

Cheers Badger
