Just checked gravity of my ribena wurzel. OG 1112. now at 1.020. 12.2%abv. Question is would it be too soon to stop this before it looses its ribena flavour (yes I did have a taste and yes I know its probably wrong ). Been fermenting for 12 days. Want to keep flavour rather than have a big ABV

Depends if you like sugary wines, in my opinion 1.020 is sickly sweet.

I've never done a Ribena, but blackcurrants (from real fruit) do retain quite a lot of their flavour.

This is Strawberry Ribena. The TC I did with it has lost most of its taste at 12%abv. Im not interested in HIGH abv more taste. Might leave it till Saturday that will be 14 days might be unlucky to do it tomorrow as that is day 13 :D .

Ah, not paying attention, sorry

Still never made one, but if it's anything like strawberry wine from real strawberries, it probably won't taste of strawberries. As fruits go, real strawberries are an expensive waste of time.
