Grist, Ended up with 2800g MO, 1100 Lager malt, 482g dark crystal, 249g Vienna, 249g Carapils

pH probably a bit high! :?
Quick iodine test after about 50 mins. Converted
Nice red colour, 1st time using dark crystal! I know the name says it all but it really is dark!
Recirculated about 10L today with a double jug method. I'm gonna have to get a pump!
pre boil gravity of 1.046 @ 20 deg C
Water treatment for boil. Gypsum, table salt and epsom salts
pacific Gem FWH. These smelled awesome. First time using NZ hops!
the other gubbins. both hop boxes are Centennial and cascade
Getting the chill on!
got a really good break again. Need to order some more protofloc otherwise it's back to irish moss and I find it doesn't work quite as well!

Saf US 05 rehydrated then topped up with cooled wort to wait while the trub settles out!
filth! :shock:
Ended up with 18L at 1.058 so about 6%ABV hopefully. Was aiming for 20L @ 1.055 but I forgot to turn the boiler down a bit :shock:
