Hi

made this today , now 6 hour later not started to ferment

first cider this is so unfamiliar being an ale man

it’s in kitchen and temp must be 22 C

reassure me please lads

I've done this one a couple of times , don't panic I'm pretty sure I did it in the afternoon , there was no activity when I went to bed but had started by the next morning.

Be aware when it gets going there is quite a sulphur smell for a good few days, it's the only brew my wife had moaned about and it was for her !

I've just done a myo strawberry and lime cider kit,
was pretty eggy smelling.
Seemed to go after racking and bottling.
The mrs was convinced the cats or dogs had done toilet duty somewhere, she was hunting everywhere, even removed the kick boards in the kitchen 🤣🤣

I've got two supermarket juice wines on the go atm.
One with crossmyloof yeast and one with youngs.
The youngs started fermentation after about an hour.
The crossmyloof took about 24 but after a few days it was going like a train.
The youngs has slowed now but crossmyloof still going strong 👍
