Apologies for being behind, been in Tenby tap for a couple of days. 😉

Day 7: lil saison IPA - 8/10. A session saison with a few different notes going on.

Day 8: Vic secret IPA - 6.5/10. Nothing that hasn't been done better before but ok.

Day 9: smokey Joe's rauch lager. 7.5/10. Not overly smokey or too malty more of a statement of what they could do if they turned the volume up above 5. Bit of a teaser IMO.

So that makes 56.5/80 in total.

Still behind a day or so..... 🙄

This was today's beer. I have had this before, and it got me hooked on Duration. Although I preferred this beer when it first came out as it had a more obvious Columbus and Hallertau Blanc profile. I don't really get Columbus anymore ☹️. Still nice though

It's one of 4 Duration beers that I have had, and was my favourite

It's a great beer but it's definitely changed...I thought it was more unique when I had one of the earlier cans just before the pandemic. The 3 cans I have had since that Columbus and Hallertau Blanc flavours seem to have reduced. I thought it was one of the first beers that really combined the new German hops with American and got them both to sing..seems different now.

Day 10: chuckleberry holy ferk sour. 7.3%
A very sour beer lovely fruit hit at the front and dry as a bone on the back end 8.5/10

Day 11: Christmas tree Vienna pale. 5.2% - more earthy than pine needles. I prefer more pine but ok. 7/10

Day 12: tropical lil IPA 3% - perfume and tropical mostly passion fruit despite being a bit oxidised a bit one dimensional 6.5/10

Running total: 77.5/110

Beer52 Day 14: Tulum Session IPA

I liked the more piney IPAs I've had from this box but a lot of these fruity IPAs /pale ales seem a bit samey, perfectly ok, but don't jump out, a bit meh, been there done that 😕

Today's beer is different and very nice
Not had this before but had heard of the brewery..mixed fermentation/sour Belgian stout..unusual..a little bit like Rodenbach but a stout.

A new one for me. Surprisingly easy drinking for a 7.2% beer. The description on the can says "A maritime-strength cold fermented dark beer brewed with a traditional combination of roasted malts for notes of oak, port, pub hearths and creaky, spume-covered ship decks."

day 13: A bit oxidized poor for a ddh ipa - 6.5/10

day 14: yuk - there is beer in there but it tastes like a vegetarians fart smells . 3/10 that's being generous for being honest about the beverage.

so 87/130.

tip: give day 14 to someone you don't like as a passive aggressive statement wink...

Another new one for me. El Toro from Old Dairy Brewery. It's a pleasant IPA, but nothing special. The official description says "A blend of English and American hops to give a tropical and smooth IPA with mango guava and orange flavour. Full bodied and a mango aroma"

After that awful veggie turkey soup I needed some time off to recover. 🤢

Day 15: A bit of a generic IPA. Not undrinkable just not very interesting. 6.5/10

Day 16: A beer that tastes like white wine, quite enjoyable I really have to get some NS hops for my own version. I'd definitely drink this again. 7.5/10

Day 17: trifle in a glass I love it. 8.5/10 another beer I'd happily repeat one of the best in the calendar 🗓️ to date.

109.5/160.
