You could start with what is called an easy white.

One litre of white grape juice

One litre of apple juice.

800g sugar

1 tsp yeast

1 tsp nutrient

1 tsp pectolace

1 tsp tannin or a mug of strong black tea with 3 bags. Stirred every couple of minutes as you put the rest of the ingredients together.

1 tsp glycerine.

having read the post's on WOW's I thought I would give one ago so popped into wilko's today and bought another DJ as I had non empty. Here's what I have thrown together.......

1 Ltr WGJ (100% pressed from concentrate)
1 Ltr Apple juice (100% from concentrate)
800g sugar
1tsp Yeast Nutrient
mug of strong tea (3 bags)
1tsp Glycerine
½tsp Pectolase
1tsp Youngs wine yeast

Pinched at 24°c and it started almost immediately and is fizzing away nicely now in the kitchen.

One of my regulars is the same recipe but i use a red grape juice instead of the white, it has a kind of red berry taste (both me and Mrs Tea cannot describe it accurately) and is very popular with friends and family, at just over £3 for 6 bottles its great value.

Great stuff here, I have 5 gallons of skeeter pee fermenting right now. Friends and family can't get enough!

8lbs of table sugar inverted
3tsp Yeast Nutrient
2tsp Yeast Energizer
2cups of strong tea (3 bags)
2 32oz bottle of lemon juice
2x 16oz bottles of lime juice
Lavlin ICV D-47 yeast

Original recipe here.

Friends and family can't get enough!

If you have friends like mine they would drink anything as long as it got them ****** and it cost them nowt. (who needs enemies)

Edit to add -

Check your P.M's

As there are now 57 pages on this thread and it would take me all day to read them all (I will one day though ;)).

Ah yes pookiehair, but those pages are the secret map to the golden nectar, all you need is to work your way through them, at about £3 a go, beats buying at the supermarkets!

Okay guys, time for an update!!
So, my RGJ & apple & raspberry and my WGJ & pineapple have been racked in another DJ for a week - crushed a campden tablet as is needed, both still seem a bit cloudy tho.... I've got some finnings but should I leave it in DJ no 2 for two weeks? - ie, a month in DJ's in total....
Ginger beer has been bottled & half of it been drank - nice stuff, I'd say about 6 - 8%. Was mega dry but back sweetened in DJ 2 before bottling.
WGJ with the three tins of raspberries & two jars of cherries was racked off a few days ago - really does smell like a proper bought red wine & its dark too!!! Can't wait to give that a try!!
So, I have an empty DJ here now - so is it turbo cider time or another wine?? Cant decide!!!

I normally wait until its finished fermenting, leave it a week so the yeast cleans up after itself then rack to a clean DJ onto a crushed campden then degas stabilise and add fining, it only needs 48 hours to clear using KwiK Clear.

Okay thanks. 24 hours later and its getting really clear, I'll bottle it Thursday now.

Firstly, an apology for not ready the entire topic.

But, the question that most bothers me at the moment is the juice content...

Hypothetically, if I were to use a juice with say, 40% Apple, would using three of these provide the 100% juice content required, or would I still need to add 100% of W/RGJ to get the required juice content?
