This sounds like a great week end could you please post a post code or similar please so I can get some idea off distance from me

I post on Jim's a certain amount, it's a trouble free zone with very knowledgeable and helpful members.

I guess if it were a commercial event then I can see potential issues with the owners..

However a member organising an event for members I would hope is a different kettle of fish

I would be interested

I thought this was a friendly place. Why would discussing a meet up be banned?

There is no issue here with this event and that i why the thread is still here and no posts have been removed for it.

I'm more than up for this, camping, drinking and talking about brewing where people don't glaze over after 30 seconds what's not to like?......But can we have a fire I love a fire, fires are brilliant. As for the rest of it, I don't know, MM was great asset on here especially the way he could drum up a competition or two, I never won but they were a real plus. I do hope the admin manage to sort all this out.

I'd be up for a meet up - date dependant.
Sad to hear about the other stuff.

I've seen the pics and don't get me wrong I'm not the Fire Master of the universe (I've met him before and he's a PITA) but you just can't beat a real fire to stand around and chew the fat, especially when it's about how I can make my beer better.

There is already a home brew festival for all the UK brewing forums but every effort to advertise it on here was banned and removed. I stood down as a moderator partly for that reason. I now understand that Mansemasher has left the forum, and am contemplating doing do myself. Not for the first time.

I like the idea of a get together and it's a great offer, I just feel personally that I am concerned about the direction of this forum and about the reasons for MM leaving, and I reckon this post will be removed, going by past form. Open discussion is not permitted.
To stay on track with the thread, I would love to go if it was nearer but the trek from Scotland is too far for me.
On the point of MM leaving I would like to know why!
MM was a great guy and I definitely know he would have said bye bye to the forum and give a reason, He put lots of work in. This might be my last post here if there's no explanation. I'm fed up of getting notifications then posts don't exist because they were deleted with no explanation.

This is the thread about the established festival, http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=59723 not barred or censored. A great weekend with good lectures and NGWBJ judged competition alongside a great social weekend.

Sounds like a great idea this, i don't think i'll be able to make it but hope it go's well.....
I'm sure it will :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink: :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink::drunk:
