It should be fine mate. Don't quote me but someone will tell me if I'M wrong but I think the hot water is just to dissolve the sugar better. If you have added the sugar now I'M sure it will be fine.

Good point re trading on name brand only. Would also agree itddoesn't taste like it use to. My last was also at a sports bar. But i wasn't brave enough to go on the keg stuff. Ugh you're a brave man.

Wouldn't call it warm supersteve more like the correct temp. I use a pub which has won camra pub of the year in my neck of the woods and is always there or there abouts year on year. It has its own micro attached and the bitter is served at room temperature and you can really taste and smell the...

It was ok mate. Not the best T. Cask I have tasted but very drinkable and could have stayed there for a few more but moved on.

I have two bog standard run of the mill ones with bottom tap and pin type caps. Had a few problems with pressure leaking from them but soon sorted it by putting more Vaseline round the cap and not over tightening the cap. I also have a king keg top tap. Great because you can stand it on the...

Hi. They usually range between 18 to 21c But my latest brew a wherry ( yet to try. Still conditioning) was kept at a constant 21c as I treated my self to an aquarium heater so will have to see how that goes.

I have not had that brew too. Best before or use by dates mean nothing to me esp in a sealed tin. No contamination can get in there. I recently had some yogurts I found in my fridge 6 weeks out of best before ate them all. no ill effects. best before bah humbug. Enjoy. :cheers: cib

Another advantage. Mine leaked last year 40 pints all over the garage floor. I was gutted. imagine that in the house tho :cry:

Anyone visited this hotel in Chester. Got a few days there later in the year. Picked it for it's real ale bar and if anyone knows what are the best real ale pubs around there. Pubs where you can have a good pint in a relaxed area ie no thumping music etc :cheers:
