If its a youngs plastic key with a barrel adapter for a small C02 bottle attachment you cant inject the Co2 in doses with that kit. Mine is the same and once you break the seal on the canister if you un screw the canister holder it wuill just vent the C02 to atmosphere. I fixed my C02 lid to...

I'm leaving my nelsons revenge in the FV untill the gravity stalls hopefully at about 1.014 ish, then adding it to the barrel with some suger/dex for a second ferment, if all the yeast is spent (because the fermentation has stopped) what will happen to the suger?

I have had my revenge in the FV for 4 days now, using Safeale S-04 also, it went crazy the first 2 days then seemed to stick its a lot slower now, there is still pressure under the lid but bubbles are somewhat lacking. I'm going to check the gravity tomorrow, it went in at 1.044(ish). The kit...

I thought you could replace standard dextrose with malt extracts, or is that only 1 can kits?

Air does not glug in as the Co2 cannister keeps the pressure as you release the ale.

My Coopers IPA has been in the keg for 4 days or so, its in a plastic keg force carbed, its currently in a cupboard at about 20 degrees, should I move it somewhere cooler, I have a small outside space. Were on the south coast air temp is 10 -18 degress currntly, is this OK or should I keep it...

Thats the bad boy, it has a small c02 canister attached at the moment, makes it quite difficult to pour as the pressure is quite high, get a nice head though and it keeps the oxygen at bay too I guess

Its a plastic keg, I have an adapter for a Co2 cartridge should I just fit that now, or let it sit in the barrel for a bit and Gas it when Im ready to drink it? Thanks for the reply
