Hi fellas,

I made an Coopers Aussie Pale Ale kit on saturday that is fermenting away quite nicely but today I discovered half a pack of British caramalt in the cupboard (still in date) that could have gone in it.

Is it too late to seep the grains, boil and introduce to the fermentation bin?

Cheers

I'd avoid it at this point because it's not going to add a whole lot to brew anymore and in my opinion, not worth the risk of infecting an almost finished beer.

If it were sugar to boost the gravity, I'd say yes, that's fine. But some steeped caramalt isn't going to give you much.

Just my thoughts...
