I'm relatively new to brewing and have tried half a dozen beer kits to date. I'm not set up for AG brewing and therefore have no experience in it. Same goes for cider brewing, I know nothing about it.

My neighbour's pear tree is ready to start dropping it's fruit and every year he always has more than he can eat. Has anyone got any easy recipies for using eating pears?

Cheers.

Made same way/methods as cider, but if a dessert pear then you would have to add tannin (tea) and some malic acid. Pears have sorbitol so will be sweet even when fermented to dry. 20kg will give a gallon of juice, depending on pears. You are better off posting in the wine & cider section. Maybe mod will move it. Seems they have moved it.
