I want to get my brewing shoes on again soon, hoping to make an IPA with citrus and grapefruit notes.

Got myself some old skool Comet hops, cold pressed grapefruit extract and some aroma hop oil - Also wanted to try a late hop additions only schedule, and will be using pellets instead of whole hops this time so it's all a bit experimental

Here is my recipe

The IBU is a bit lower than I normally go for due to the late additions, but does fall in line with the style and with some of the beers I buy at Tesco.

I usually dry hop a lot more, but wanted to see what the hop oil could do.

Does anyone have any tips for giving this more grapefruit flavour ? Was considering some peel/zest but no idea how much or when to add etc (and would it really make much difference?)

Any other hops that might suit ?

Cheers

There's a thread discussing Brew dogs elvis juice. If you haven't tried a commercial example try and get your hands on a bottle.
