Inspired by Foxbats Bitter recipe, i decided to get my second FV cleaned and do another brew to continue building my stocks up.
3kg Irish malt
50gm chocolate malt 1000ebc
100gm crystal 340ebc
20l mash at 65c for an hour and a good bag squeeze
Leaving 18l wort for a 45 minute boil
Hops
20gm challenger at 45min
15gm fuggles at 0min
10gm challenger at 0mins
15l in to the fv with an og of 1.049 adjusted for temperature.
Yeast, I completely forgot, so racked AG#5 into my newly sterilised FV and scooped out a pint of the trub that's sf04 ale yeast.
this is already second gen, as i reused some of the trub from ag#4 for ag#5 - but what the hell. Seems people are reusing yeast lots of times so we'll see how it goes.
must put an order in next week as i'm running low on everything now, 6 brews in 6 weeks and i've ploughed through most of my stocks of hops too.
