I brewed the same recipe a few brews back and its amazing with only a few bottles left, so decided I needed to get another on the go.

today went better on the new kit with better results. final volume was bang on along with gravity being spot on and crystal clear too.

hops weighed out during mash

first runnings

after first draining - amazed how much better this false bottom is than a copper filter, no stuck mashes as of yet and clear runnings quickly

15 min addition with chiller

10 min addition

5 min addition

f/o steep for 20 mins

sample shot

leftover mess

also made a permanent I/c outlet pipe attached to the brew stand into the sink after last brewday when the hose got knocked out and made a huge mess. means I can crack on with other things and not need to watch while cooling.

well done....

theres always some improvement, addition to be done to your equipment...

Its called " pottering " and is best accompanied by a large sample of home brew at your right hand

Well by now there's usually a huge krausen pushing against the lid but nothing. So first time in 9 brews I've had to pitch more yeast.
