Airlock discoloured!?! what does it mean???

Hello again,

I seem just to post on here when i have a problem, i must stop doing that...but...............

Im brewing a solomon grundy 7 day apricot wine kit, second day in and its bubbling so much its changed the colour of the water in the airlock, ive quickly changed the airlock but does that mean my wine is now ruined??? :wha:

No, nothing's getting in while the wine's trying to get out.

Temperature could be a bit too high or the DJ has been over-filled, but it happens to all of us from time to time, which is why a newly started DJ should always be on a hard worktop or on a tray but never on a carpet.

I have to agree with moley no harm should have come to your wine
when making your next batch just fill to shoulder of dj and top up
after 2 to 4 days
