Does anybody know if Anchor use their brewing yeast to carbonate their bottles? Or do they use a bottling yeast or even pasteurise their beer. I've got a few 2017 Xmas ales left and was thinking of doing a version of Morton's California Common.
While we're on the subject, what other decent yeasts has anybody harvested from bottled beers.
Thanks.

Their Steam Beer is pasteurised and force carbed. Don’t have a clue about their Christmas beers but assume it would be a different yeast given that Steam beer / California Common is meant to be made with lager yeast at ale temperatures or a “special” steam beer yeast.
