Good impact driver is the thing to use and as long as the bit is a good fit into the screw head, the harder you hit it the better it works :thumb:
 
Because the cupboardy type thing has flush hinges on it I'd guess its a newish build (25 yrs) so was put up with a cordless driver , I'd just cut the timber either side of the fixings, split the timber away with a chisel so you can see what you're dealing with and just twist the screws out with pliers if you can't get them out with a driver. :thumb:
