I've got one 5 gallon and had it for about 12 years and it's always been fine and Ive read recently that people have severed tendons and all sorts when the y break if they are full
Now I'm paranoid and it's made me a bit scared of it when it's full ?
Anyone else use them or got any real life horror stories ?

All mine are glass, not had a problem. I'm just careful that I don't go from one extreme to another with temperatures.

Where did you hear about people having nasty accidents?

Of course a massive glass container of almost any sort is dangerous, especially when it's full, if you do something stupid. Just be careful not to break it. If you've survived 12 years with it then i'm sure you doing it right. Just remember; don't drop it, don't put boiling water in it when it's freezing cold or vice versa and if there's an earthquake just stay well away from it.

All the Best
