First post and glad to have found a UK forum on this.

So cans someone tell me what banana skins add to a wine?
Anyone use bananas to ripen fruit quicker? I understand the produce ethene and can soften hard fruit and I was gifted enough hard pears to make a galln batch.

Ifusing glycerine in fruit juice wines, are they types to be avoided?
I see some sellers 250ml for £8 while I can get 1l on amazon for £10

Save your money it doesn't add much in fact when we ran out and tried the wine without it we didn't notice.

I cannot advise on the banana skins.
