I'm off to San Jose with work on Monday and have literally about 3 hours of personal time before the pain of work meetings/socials so I'm trying to hit up one or two brewery tap rooms when I get there.

It looks like there's a few and just wondered if anyone has been recently and can recommend any? I'm staying south of the downtown area but heading from San Fran Airport so can stop off downtown/Central on the way to hotel.

Cheers

My step son and his family live in Mountain View, which is not far from San Jose on the way from SFO. My favourite watering hole is a bar/restaurant called Eureka.

They have a good range of American ales and whiskies and the food is good too. There’s another bar called Steins.

Also good selection of beers.

Enjoy your trip athumb..
thanks for the tips, I didn't make it to mountain view, but managed to get to San Pedro Market when I arrived for a couple of hours. Was on the hunt for Pliny the Elder but couldn't find it on tap. Went to Market Beer Company (highly recommend) that had around 25 beers on tap and a big take away offer so picked up some bottles to put in the suitcase. Must admit the Pliny is so hyped that I don't think anything could live up to that and it doesn't; glad I was able to sample though.
