Well, I finally made it on Friday afternoon/evening. Had it planned a couple of times but train strikes put paid to those trips. I have to say, I loved it. Had spent all afternoon walking through London so was more than ready for a pint when a mate and I arrived in Bermondsey.

I should have made notes but the last hour or two is a bit of a blur. First two pints were something called Jungle Trip - beautiful hazy IPA. I remember having a single hop citra and a single hop mosaic, but the point is, every pint was spot on. Definitely went to Anspach & Hobday, but no idea what we drunk.

Brilliant night. Loved all of the bars. Great vibe everywhere and all of the staff were happy to stop and chat about their beer. I'd highly recommend the Beer Mile (though it's now nearer two miles), to everyone. I will definitely be back.

I made it to the Anspach & Hobday bar and remember what I had! London Black. They wanted to replace Guinness with their porter in London on the grounds that London was where it all began. Not likely to happen. London Black has too much flavour.
