I'm onto around my 10th AG brew and I'm still not sure what the best way is to get wort from boil kettle into fermenter. I've used strainers, sieves and muslin bags to limit transfer of hops and break material with mixed success. My question is, does it matter if a bit of break material gets into the fermenter? The beer tastes fine in the end but I'm wondering if it would taste or certainly look better if I made more effort to leave the break material behind.

Thanks for any help.

Some kettle finings (brewbrite/whirfloc/etc) and a good whirlpool should leave most break material behind in a cone at the bottom of the kettle.

Definitely best to try and leave as much break material behind as possible.
