This is a slightly cheeky title (it's a re-imagining of TT's Boltmaker with a different hop-profile) but it was my first brewing session since March/April and I wanted to follow a recipe.

The recipe was:

Pale Malt: 4kg
Crystal: 200g
Black malt: 30g

I must admit: I was really happy to find that my brewing process was 'dialled in'. I absolutely loved mashing in, sparging and boiling with one eye on the tennis.

Hops were:

Goldings: 30g at the start

Flameout: 25g Styrian Goldings, 25g First Gold (get the pun?)

I might dry-hop with a few cones of Goldings or maybe Styrian.

Yeast: I used the re-jigged Hog's Back yeast which is probably on its 9th generation now. Still smelled good but I didn't have time to make a starter. As the OG was only 1040 I just lugged in what I had. It's been chugging away pretty merrily so let's hope all is well on that front.

Hopefully what I'll get is a beer with the malty background of Boltmaker with the hop profile of Landlord. Either way, I'm looking forward to putting it in the keg and supping it during the Olympics.
