I never bottle because a) I am lazy and b) I have enough corny kegs for my personal consumption!
I've giving away some beer this year though (my Bad Santa) and plan to clean the bottles like this:

1 - soak in oxi-clean for 30 mins
2 - quick rinse with warm water
3 - stick in dishwasher on hot cycle
4 - quick splash through with Star San
5 - fill and cap

Sound good?
Missing anything??

that would be just fine  i just rinse em out as and when i use em then on bottle day i just spray em , so far no bad bottles

id skip the dishwasher step, you can end up with detergent or rinse aid etc leaving a residue even if you dont add any. Ive heard people that use a dishwasher run it through a full cycle with nothing in it first to help, personally i just rinse and star san with a squirter.

Damn - they're in the dishwahsher already!
I didnt' use any tablets or detergent though so fingers crossed!
