how does brew length compare to grain bill i.e how much weight of grain do i need for a 40 litre brew, i need to end up with 40 litres at least so loss must also be included im thinking of big kenny with 92% pale 1.5% crystal 1% barley ANd 0.5% chocolate (but might make it 1.5% and miss out the barley) 5% torrified wheat :thumb:

Have a play with the recipe formulator tool :thumb:
There is a button on the left hand side of the banner up there ^^^^^^
Enter your brew length and play with the grain bill 'til you get what you want ;)

Are you trying to scale a recipe?
i.e do you have a recipe for 23l but want to increase it to 40l?
If so there is the facility in the recipe calculator to scale recipes, enter the 23l recipe and use the scale facility and it'll increase the hops as well as the fermentables :thumb:
