Todays brew is this,

40 litres OG 1.040 31 IBU
5.5kg Marris Otter Pale Malt
500g Dark Crystal malt
500g Rye Malt
500g Wheat malt
90g Amber malt

30g Magnum hop pellets 15% aa 90 min boil
5g Aurora whole hops 8% aa 90 min boil
20g Aurora whole hops 8% aa 15 min boil

Pictures to follow

Hope your having a good one!

Will 5g of aurora in at 90 effect the taste or is it an odd bit to make up the IBU's?

They are in there because I find if I use just pellets when the wort comes to the boil, the hop particles just deposit themselves around the periphery of the boiler and are a bugger to get back into the boil, a little addition of whole hops seems to prevent this :wha:

On with the pictures,

With sufficient pre heating and insulation there is very little temperature loss over 90 minutes ;)
