Hi chaps,

Some advice please.

I have just started brewing a Cider kit but with these high temperatures I'm struggling to keep the brew between 20-25oc the kit suggests.
Even in a dark cupboard and the garage I'm getting temperature readings of 26-26.5!

Is there any easy way to keep the brew at a stable 20-25oc I am missing please?

With thanks

Put the FV on a tray or something and drape it with wet towels and keep them wet. If you've got a fan to blow on it, even better. There's no point using a fan directly on the FV. It's the water evaporating from the towels that cools the cider and the fan helps it evaporate more quickly. But if you haven't got a fan, just the wet towels should bring the temperature down a couple of degrees, but keep them wet.

Thank you I gave that a go and am managing to keep it between 20-25oC comfortably now
