Hi The Cider I have made from supermarket apple juice has finished fermenting.
I intend to bottle it and was wondering if you have to add sugar to the bottle like you do with beer or can you leave it as a still cider.
Also is it wise to add something to preserve the cider or does it keep well.
All help greatly appreciated
Thanks

Both options are valid but I like a fizz with cider so would prime. If you decide to do this use at least one plastic bottle to be able to squeeze test the carbonation.

As for preservatives; if your carbonating then no, if you're not then yes.

As Led Zep says.

I personally use 1 level teaspoon per 500ml bottle and adjust amount for different size bottles. I always use normal white granulated sugar.

Good luck with your cider. I hope it turns out great!
