Hi all,

I've just ordered the CJ Berry books

First steps in wine making & 130 new recipes.

I'm looking forward to trying "Onion wine"

Has anyone used these and could you recommend any of the recipes.

Cheers.

It's generally thought that CJJB uses a bit more sugar than necessary.
I've based most of my attempts on FSIWM, but always have a Google around for other takes on the recipes, and average them out.

Thanks for that, by having more sugar the finished wine would be stronger? :)

If you ferment it right out, yes; or it could be mediumer or sweeter, if you stop it earlier.
I've not often bothered with gravity readings, putting my trust in the published recipes, but my strawberry is certainly fairly strong.
