If anyone is looking for CO2 near the Wirral then there's a place called Jimmy's Beer and Gas that sells a 10 litre (6kg i think) cylinder for £26.40. I order mine from there but it was only £15 last time I went before the price of CO2 went up 6 fold!
I always used cash as they didn't have a card reader back then but its the cheapest place I have found it from and they didn't charge for a deposit or rental charges on the cylinder.
