do i need to rack my wine now its ready for it or am i ok leaving it till weekend when i will have some bottles to put it in

or will it be ok in a secondary with finings added and stabalisers if i do it tonight

its a kit by the way and im up to the stage where it has definately stopped fermenting its my first wine

Chillax, it'll be ok until the weekend .... or the one after :thumb:

What do you mean, “will it be ok in a secondary”, what's it in now?

its in a youngs barrel type fermentor at the moment the one with the large screw on lid thats the one i used for fermenting

if i transfer to a bucket with a lid on will the air in there not affect the wine or will co2 form on top as it goes flat its just that i read that air is bad for wine

What volume are you making and have you got any DJs or water bottles?

It should absolutely not go back into a bucket.

everything is in use apart from the bottling bucket so i guess ill have to get some bottles together quickly
