Does yeast usually just sink to the bottom?

As mentioned in another post, I've started a turbo cider and it doesn't seem to be doing much. Sitting at about 20-22degrees with champagne yeast and morrisons value juice and yeast appears to have sunk to the bottom! Haven't seen any bubbles although I'm using a 2 gallon bucket for 1 gallon of juice So lots of spare room!

And ideas?

Buckets do not normally support the use of a "Bubbler" as the lids do not fit tight enough to make a gas seal.
TC seldom has a yeast head; when it does, it tends to come and go.

Oh ok thanks for the information! It does however seem to be turning a lighter orange colour so I hope it will be fermenting! Don't want to take the lid off for fear of Infecting it!!

Oh right so for cider should you just use a sealed fermentation bucket with no bubbler?

Most buckets don't seal tightly, but if you have one that does, just ease a little portion of the lid up.
You are trying to stop dust, wild yeast and flies from getting in.
