my mate has one for his 3 bbl brewery....It goes down the length of a wall, 2 meters in height, 5 lengths...this then feeds into a plate exchanger...will chill down 3 bbls in 35-40 mins. He says that if he was doing it again he would go with 10 lengths and add a copper wire spiral soldered down each 15 mm length and do away with the plate chiller entirely

my experiment continues ..

And the full 6m length 10mm x 0.02mm wall SS transport tube in a 1" ID pvc cooling jacket with coax water guides, just waiting the silicone hose to join the transport tubes for a h/e test.

If adequate chilling is achieved the finished job will be folded upon itself similar to the traditional coil cfc, for compactness, the spread out config is just for testing.
using jubilee clips and pvc hose between the copper fixings makes it flexible.

Joining hose sorted allowed for a hot test..

as im intending it to be a recirculated chiller i didnt expect the performance it gave,

off the boil to 32C at 4lpm, restricting the flow i got 26C out.

but the restricting valve was letting in air :( minor niggle

One bad solder joint leaked a bit, i can sort that :)

then to fold it up nice n compact :)

way better performance than i expected, way hey :)
