My Bother has a grillhouse in his garden. For those that have not seen one they are a purpose made shed or outhouse with a central bbq pit.Friends sit around the pit and get merry with drink and lots of fine foods.Just thought i would share a recent family meet we had last month.

I am also looking into getting one myself,it is just the funds i need to find but believe me they are stunning.

Believe me Covrich it is.A fantastic way of drinking and eating with great company and the best is that you can do it no matter what the weather. When we did this last month the weather was cold but inside the grillhouse we were toasty warm.

The only problem was the heat from the pit made our drinks warm, which meant we had to drink faster.

By the way, that's me grinning like a Cheshire cat.

There is no smoke. However my bro started the firepit about three to four hours before we arrived,by that time the pit was embers, perfect for a bbq and stayed warm all night. My bother just threw on a log towards the end of the evening to keep it stocked up but smokeless.

It can come in kit form,he got it from Fleabay but Amazon and other places sell them.Think of it as a converted shed but with a chimney going through the center.

Looks great.

You can stay in one at this campsite/caravan/BBQ hut site at Masham (and take in a brewery tour whilst there at either the Black Sheep or Theakstons breweries in Masham).

We camped on our own tent but this was the best campsite we have stayed on - not too many kids, great toilets/showers and a nice little cafe on-site for breakfasts if you dont want to cook your own, and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Masham.

Would love to try the BBQ huts, they come in smaller (4 people) or larger (6 people) variants:

Been tempted so many times when ive seen them displayed at country/game fairs. Just need the space and funds

They are not cheap.I have been thinking on two levels.Either go all out and buy one or convert a shed using my non carpentry skills,or maybe employ a joiner for a day, that way i could plan it as it suits us.Not sure yet,let me get Chrimbo out of the way then i`ll start planning.

A new grillhouse and home brew, now that's the way to start a new year.:thumb:

That's pretty awesome! What a great way of socialising and a BBQ any time of year. I want one! Sadly, lack of garden size and funding might prevent it.

The wife and i have just been talking about getting one this year, the garden needs an overhaul anyway so will be a good excuse to add one.We have seen a few on the web and all good great.

For those who have never seen one or used one let me add that if you enjoy group drinking and eating with friends and family they simply is no better way to do it.Everyone sits around the pit getting Brahms and Liszt eating whatever you throw on the bbq, like a lovely bratwurst or homemade chilli burgers or maybe a t-bone steak.

Damn,i need to stop,i`m salivating here.
