I'm moving my brewing set up out to a shed so am having to make some adjustments. At the moment I have a 30L boiler for BIAB and I use an 18L stock pot to heat sparge water on my stove top.

Without access to the stove I'm looking at different ways to heat my sparge water. My pot isn't induction compatible so I can't get one of those portable hobs and I don't want gas in a wooden shed.

I'd like to fit a kettle element and I know people used to dismantle tesco value kettles but I don't think they still sell a corded kettle so wanted to check if this would work?

Does anyone know how big a hole you need to cut? I guess a q-max cutter should do the job. Do these type of elements usually come with the appropriate washers?
