Brewed a brown ale with Danster Windsor yesterday and it had a major foam over. Should i clean the lid and side of fermenter, normally leave it but its pushing up the lid?

I would put it into a container to catch what's coming out, there is no point in cleaning it until it has calmed down, the beer is protected by the CO2 that is pushing the lid up so no need to worry about it being ruined.

You can drill the lid and fit a grommet like the one below then make a blow off tube, if this happens again the beer goes into the container and is much easier to pour out than messing with the FV.
