I’m not promoting the licking of faces but ...

It’s becoming apparent to me just how wowza this forum is ( after surfing some others).

We brew some fab beers ... and unlike me there are some right game changes in this membership, so......

Why don’t we start a regular face to face festival ?

Every 6 months ... 1 per year ? Dunno ?

I’m more than happy to help make happen.

A great idea pvt_ak any thoughts on where to have it?

Anywhere where they are not discussing Brexit every time you turn the T.V or Radio on would be my choice. :laugh8:

If I remember correctly this forum used to meet once a year and use pubs as a meeting place and camp in the grounds

It did, quite a few years ago before the change of ownership. And pretty good it was too.

I think the plot of land camp idea is fab.

Could shift the locations year on year .

Perhaps do the first one central UK somewhere.

Big beer tent.

Bbq’s.

Few comps.

What a blast ?

It's allready a thing and it's not far from meathumb.. also pretty central for most. brewcamp Bakewell Duno how to put a link up but have a Google.

Looks like it could get a bit messy

I organise a tailgate weekend on woodsmokeforum.uk for the Anglia region and we pick a campsite cook and drink, socialise. Great fun. Definitely should organise something, and get some brews on. Overall we have one national one and three or four regional ones, Pretty obvious to me that there would be enough interest on this forum to arrange something similar. We could get some bbqs working for food too. Happy to bring my expertise to that.

There is usually a national home brew meet that is advertised on this site.

I understand that the organiser gave up on organising it after the final event in 2018. I think it is a nice idea and that there would be interest amongst the forum members, but I bet it was hard work to organise. Never attended, though.

finding suitable venue and arranging that is hardest. Also identifying who has central facilities like gazebos tables, chiller trailer prep areas etc is nice, In the woodsmokeforum one of my friends has a chiller trailer business and brings one of his which is brilliant

As long as politics isn't brought up this could be a really good idea. A possible location is my wife's farm in Kent which has a retreat centre on it. There are dorms and an area for camping. I'm opening a fermentation shed so there'll be a 40 litre homebrew set up meaning we could do a forum brew. We'll have to pay for it (including me) but we could get a deal to make things a bit cheaper.
