After a trip to the local £1 shop. I came away with a slotted spoon (with a large carving fork no use that :D ). The slotted spoon has a large mainly flat working area and is great at stirring the mash (about 2" across) ... and it is SS

They also have the digital timers back in stock great for setting at 60/75 min for the additions stage of the boll.

So anybody else got any useful brewing equipment from a strange retailer?

None for me.
I'm a typical, Jewsons for plumbing bits, and solar equipment supplier for pump.

Unless the old train transformer that controls my pump? It's variable, the speed that is :thumb: So that's a 30+ years old

FOund a fermenting tank, hydrometer, airlock and other stuff in my nieghbours shed.
$10 and its mine :thumb:
Had some yeast but it was waaaaaaaaay far gone.
