Just bought 250ml of food grade for £4.29 from eBay, free delivery (mngproducts), which was kinda handy as it's not something you easily come by here on Skye!
Not sure if the yeast I froze using it is any good though.........fingers crossed.:-?

I prefer 'glycerol'. That's what we called it in the lab. 'Glycerine' makes some people nervous. Get mine from eBay :thumb: It can be sterilised in a pressure cooker, if necessary.

Boots 'value health' Glycerine B.P ((Glycerol) 200 ml seems to be the cheapest deal. 15 ml per gallon of wine is a typical dose. I recently used this amount to convert an 'extra brut' elderflower champagne to plain brut without having to resort to sugar at the final bottling stage.

thanks for the replys.just seen this used in a easy cider recipe that I want to have a go at
