Going to try something wierd

I make tea wine all the time. I have seen someone make ginger beer infused with black treacle on the web at about 5% abv. So, I thought I would combine all of these by making a tea wine infused with ginger and a bit of black treacle at about 12% abv

It might taste great

It might at least taste interesting

It might taste like crude oil

I used black treacle in a mead and it was quite nice but you only need a small amount. From memory I think I used about 1.5 tbl spoons in a 4.5l Dj and you really knew it was there, even just looking at it compared to the DJ of just plain mead.
